I work with adults seeking individual counseling and couples counseling for a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, life stress, grief and loss, trauma therapy, communication challenges, and relationship issues. I specialize in a treatment approach called EMDR Therapy.
A professional counselor for 16 years, my career began in Fargo with an agency that provided a variety of therapy services. During those first 9 years I gained a strong counseling background helping adults, couples, and teens, gave presentations, provided groups for emotional wellness including art-based therapy groups, worked collaboratively with skilled colleagues, and wrote articles about mental health topics. I entered private practice in 2017 to offer clients greater ease of scheduling and to continue to grow professionally as a counselor. Through the process, I've taken numerous training courses related to EMDR and other counseling specific workshops. I am a Certified EMDR Therapist and I maintain licenses in both ND and MN.
